Dr. Prater-Richwine is a fully licensed psychologist. After completing a Master’s degree in counseling and a Master’s degree in Family Studies, she earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University with a cognate in marriage and family. She completed her internship at the Ball State University Counseling Center with an emphasis on crisis intervention and trauma. She completed post-doctoral fellowship at the Austin Peay State University Counseling Center working with Veterans transitioning to civilian and college life and substance abuse. She has worked in numerous settings such as private practice, a state hospital, and the VA. Dr. Prater-Richwine is a strong generalist with experience in disorders ranging from Depression, Anxiety, Personality Disorders, and Serious Mental Illness. She enjoys working with people throughout the lifespan.. Her previous research interest included anxiety, stress, and post-traumatic growth. Dr. Prater-Richwine spends most of her free-time chasing after her 3 children, reading, going to movies, enjoying theatre, and someday hopes to get back into figure skating.
