Her approach is humanistic in the sense of acknowledging each person’s subjective experience, which impacts one’s current situation. She incorporates interventions from various modalities including humanistic therapy, solution focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT), psychodynamic therapy, arts and strength-based approaches, as well as Gottman Couples Therapy. In addition to her professional experience, Ajab’s therapeutic work has been informed by her travels to and living in different places including Cameroon, Senegal, Ghana, El-Salvador, France, and multiple U.S. states and by her background in public health.
