Alice Wong is a psychiatrist who graduated from Touro University California Osteopathic Medical School and completed her psychiatry residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York. During her time in New York, she also completed further psychotherapy training in the “interpersonal approach” at William Alanson White institute of Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis & Psychology. Alice believes in providing culturally sensitive and inclusive mental health care by listening with empathy, inquiring with curiosity, and understanding with humility. She has experience in working with diverse cultural backgrounds and understands the struggles one may face in wanting to assimilate while retaining their cultural heritage. Besides prescribing medications when indicated, she is a strong proponent of psychodynamic therapy to process past experiences, understand ourselves better, and achieve the lives we consciously choose. She is also fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
