Amanda Artz is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over five years of experience specializing in grief counseling, anxiety, depression and panic disorders. Amanda treats patients between the ages of 15 and 60, and is well versed in several treatment modalities. Amanda has extensive experience in working with adolescents, adults, families, couples and groups in an outpatient setting. In her clinical work, Amanda is well versed in both the traditional therapeutic techniques as well as creative modalities such as play therapy and expressive arts therapy, role play, guided imagery and mindfulness techniques. In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also loves to partake in various crafts such as painting, card making and creating beaded jewelry when ever possible.
Amanda has a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Rivier University as well as her Certificate of Graduate Studies from Rivier University. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Keene State College. Prior to joining the Counseling Center, Amanda worked at Greater Nashua Mental Health. She started as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Professional working in the community with individuals who were diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. In her most recent role as a therapist with Greater Nashua Mental Health provided the opportunity to provide treatment as a part of a comprehensive treatment team with other mental and medical health professionals. Amanda has worked in the mental health field since 2011, treating adolescents and adults with various diagnoses. Her clinical work draws on several therapy modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness techniques to assist clients in their abilities to achieve their therapeutic goals.
