Amy L Donahue, LPC, LCDC

I strive to be a humanistic therapist. I use my experience with you to help guide you through therapy and build a relationship of trust and healing. My approach is to consider the whole person, mind, body and spirit and connect with you to better understand the therapy experience. Working with individuals, families and couples through the process of healing is what I strive for. I have been a therapist for 19 years and have experience related to inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities including community mental health, wellness centers, and private practice. I have worked in correction facilities and gained years of experience working with acute psychiatric issues that include substance use, PTSD, grief, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and personality disorders. I have worked with Drug Court, IOP programs, Opiate addiction and detox facilities. I have been lead therapist and I also have management experience in treatment settings. I have multiple years of experience in Psychoeducation groups, family groups, process group, trauma focused group, CBT group and DBT group therapy. I believe that regardless of the difficulties or painful experiences we encounter, we can use those experiences as opportunities to grow and find more inner strength. Therapy can be used as a means to motivate positive change and to make enhancements to your life show.
