I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of treatment success. I provide a non-judgmental and open environment conducive to sharing and change, and work collaboratively with the client to meet his/her needs. I understand that embracing the therapy process and implementing change can be difficult and am dedicated to providing support and encouragement to my clients every step of the way. I have experience dealing with many different backgrounds and cultures, having worked in rehabilitation, and at various facilities such as developmental centers and correctional institutions. I’ve worked with children providing behavioral therapy in the home, and through other capacities providing family support. I have experience working in collaboration with psychiatric services making diagnostic recommendations and monitoring for treatment efficacy, as well.

Given the large range of diagnoses I’ve worked with, I am knowledgeable regarding several issues both mild and severe, including:

I am both a nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Illinois.
