Anita Freeman treats patients of all ages.

Anita Freeman is currently licensed in New Hampshire as APRN- NP in Psychiatric Family Nursing. For the past 17 years she has provided psychotherapy and psychopharmacology for adults adolescents and children in her private practice in Newburyport and Newbury MA.
Ms Freeman graduated from Cornell University New York Hospital School of Nursing with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She worked in public health and after obtaining a Master of Science degree in Nursing Administration from Boston University, as Director of a community health agency. She obtained a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley College ( now university). She completed a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) at Northeastern University in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing in 1997.
Upon advanced practice licensure she joined the multidisciplinary group practice of Harborside Counseling in Newburyport and four years later established a private practice there. Ms Freeman is ANCC Board Certified in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing.
