Anthony Tony Benoit is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (APRN, PMHNP-BC) who attended Louisiana State University Health Science Center School of Nursing where he received his bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). Upon graduation, he moved to Austin, Texas where he spent the next 7 years working at Brackenridge Hospital. In 2013, as his passion for mental health grew, he made the decision to transition to the psychiatric field of nursing, helping to reopen the Austin Oaks Hospital located in south Austin.
It was during this time, after he recognized the significant shortage of mental health practitioners in Texas, that Tony pursued and completed a master’s degree in Family Mental Health from the University of South Alabama.
Today, Tony has developed valuable educational and clinical experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders that include anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders, and more. He is trained to work with individuals ages 17 and up.
