Therapist in Eugene, Oregon April Bright, CSWA

April Bright, CSWA

April Bright is a Clinical Social Work Associate in Oregon who has been practicing since 2023. She has an MSW, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Kentucky. April is passionate about helping people find healing, happiness, hope, and fulfillment in life. She believes in pursuing healing from a strengths-based perspective: all of us are born with unique strengths, which we can leverage in our healing processes. April believes everyone holds within them the potential to heal, and that self-exploration is the first step toward healing and blossoming into one’s best self. April has a holistic style, rooted in the understanding that people do not exist in a vacuum – we are all affected by the systems and the environments which we are each a part of. April believes that with the right tools, each person can gain the skills needed to overcome the difficulties we inevitably encounter in life. All people deserve to be, and to feel, both heard and understood, as well as valued and respected. It is April’s goal to create a collaborative, and respectful, environment which supports the whole person and allows you to be who you truly are. April has experience in Christian mentorship and non-clinical counseling, with both middle through high-school age teens, as well as young adults. If you have religious faith of any type, April is happy to weave it into your sessions in whatever manner you find appropriate or helpful. April has lived in the Eugene area for about 2 decades. Other than the grass pollen in June, she loves it there! She enjoys visiting the coast and the mountains and exploring or hiking. She is very active, and loves running! Running gives her a sense of freedom and peace, and she enjoys the comradery of the local community. April really likes to read, both novels and non-fiction: she always has her nose in a book or five! She likes music, both listening to it and playing it, and studying new languages! She also likes to do small craft projects that require detail work and using her hands. April loves learning: she is working on finishing another master’s degree right now, as well as her yoga teacher training certification. Once complete, she plans to volunteer on the weekends doing yoga therapy with individuals in the hospital. April is passionate about helping people and forming lasting relationships. She believes that life is short and should be lived to the fullest extent possible!
