Bailey Gastmeyer, LMFT
Welcome! I want to begin by acknowledging the courage it takes to enter a therapeutic relationship. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I recognize that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for change to occur, allowing you to feel safe to access your truest and most authentic self; all of which is necessary for positive change to occur within yourself, your relationships, and your life. If you are seeking a deeper understanding of yourself and the sources of your sadness, anxiety, anger, confusion, dysfunctional relationships and other painful emotions– therapy may provide you the skills and space to overcome and process these feelings and associated experiences. I seek to understand you and believe in utilizing your strengths to create a more purposeful and fulfilling life.
I utilize a variety of techniques to meet you where you are at in your journey towards growth. A client-centered, empowering, and collaborative approach allows you to exercise your own thoughts, opinions, and goals for therapy. I practice from an eclectic perspective which allows for flexibility and helps me tailor my approach to your unique needs. Specifically, I use a psychodynamic orientation as well as evidenced-based therapy techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family/Family Systems Therapy, and hypnotherapy.
I received my Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Fullerton. I have been practicing for over 6 years in a variety of mental health settings and have extensive experience working with adolescents and adults. I work with clients struggling with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma-related disorders, autism spectrum disorder,
personality disorders, and difficulties managing and adjusting to life stressors, changes, and relational issues.
