Bethany is here for the person who is finally ready to talk about ‘the thing’ they have been trying to hide from or push down. Bethany believes in tenderly entering into difficult parts of the client’s story. She helps clients work through painful feelings & thoughts, instead of explaining them away, so that they can ultimately experience healing in their hurting places. Her main areas of focus include anxiety, emotional trauma, and relationship issues. Bethany’s nearly 10 years experience in Christian ministry coupled with her qualifications as a counselor give her a unique ability to address the spiritual, psychological, and emotional aspects of her clients’ stories.

Bethany helps her clients understand how their past experiences affect their view of themselves and others using trauma-informed Schema Therapy. Bethany helps her clients identify negative self-talk, increase self-worth, and find new healthy ways of getting emotional needs met.

Bethany Kimbell is a Nationally Certified Counselor as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor – Associate supervised by Stephanie Thomas LPC-S. Bethany graduated from Texas State University with a M.A. in Professional Counseling with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health.
