Dr. Beverly Ann Curtis helps families with concerns regarding child and adolescent behavioral issues. She brings 16 years of NP experience to LifeStance as she is dually certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner as well as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Curtis evaluates her patient’s mental health status by reviewing the medical history, performing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, and identifying risk factors that might affect mental health. With this information, Dr. Curtis provides support and education to families regarding medication management and/or the need for therapy. They then mutually agree on a plan of care and evaluate progress with subsequent visits and frequent communication. Dr. Curtis received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her post doctorate certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania, her Master of Science degree in Nursing Administration and Research from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her post-master’s certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from West Virginia University. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Waynesburg University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work, Dr. Curtis enjoys raising ducks, baking bread, quilting, and spending time with family and friends.
