In 2014 Homecare and Hospice Alliance of Maine named Bonnie the Maine Caregiver of the Year, an award usually given to homecare or hospice nurses. Her treatment modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy, strengths-based, narrative therapy, and solution focused therapy. Her philosophy includes looking at the person from a biopsychosocial and spiritual perspective to embody a holistic approach to wellness.
