Dr. Byrne strongly believes in the importance of understanding the environment and upbringing of an individual, as well as establishing a strong connection and rapport with his clients. Dr. Byrne has experience treating a wide range of mental and behavioral health issues with a special interest in developmental disorders (e.g., autism spectrum, ADHD, intellectual and learning disorders, mood disorders, interpersonal relationship issues, stress-related disorders, behavioral and conduct issues, and LGBTQIA+ issues.) He incorporates a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, client-centered and relational approaches, systemic therapy, and mindfulness approaches.

He recently completed his postdoctoral fellowship at LUK, Inc. in Fitchburg, MA. He completed his APA Doctoral Internship at Community Healthlink in Worcester, MA. Prior to his doctoral training, he received his Master’s Degree in Global Mental Health Counseling at William James College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Elon University in Elon, NC.
