Her induction into healthcare began with humble beginnings. Catelyn has worked as a certified nurses assistant before obtaining her registered nurses degree. As a nurse, she has worked in the hospital setting being both a psychiatric nurse and operating room nurse. She’s worked in nursing homes and also with oncology and dialysis patients. To better serve the patient populations she was caring for on a daily basis, Catelyn decided to obtain an advanced practice degree in nursing, returning to her first passion, and became a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and most recently worked as a traveling practitioner; Primarily to family care and nursing homes, working with geriatric and adult clients.
In her free time, Catelyn enjoys spending quality time with her husband, and two beautiful children. She reads, constantly, and has accrued a personal library collection of over 1,000 novels. A cinephile at heart, Catelyn also loves to watch movies, her favorites being from the 1960’s. Music is another passion of hers, with her favorite band being The Beatles. She could spend hours discussing cultural arts over a cup of coffee at her favorite spots in Asheville. She loves the mountains, and is also an alum of Appalachian State University. Go Mountaineers!
