Hello! I believe that all of us are capable of deep healing and personal growth. I see myself as someone to help guide, support, and encourage each individual to find more self-compassion and acceptance in order to increase a sense of inner peace and authentic living. While my approach is unique to each individual, I work to create a nurturing and grounding space where each person can feel supported to uncover the root cause of what might be creating current challenges. I will help you understand the science behind the impact of stress and trauma on your brain and nervous system, while helping you build ways to regulate and process past wounds.

I consider myself to be a Trauma-Informed, Person-Center, Eclectic Therapist. I use a variety of modalities depending on each individual’s goals and where they are at. Yoga and meditation have influenced my practice quite a bit. I have been practicing yoga since 2001 and am now a Registered Yoga Teacher, Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapist, and Yoga Nidra Instructor (guided meditation). Mindfulness and Somatic Experiencing is part of my foundation and often comes into play when appropriate. I also use Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy to increase thought awareness, to break old patterns and develop new ones. I use Parts Work or Internal Family Systems (IFS) as well to help each person understand and build compassion for all of their Parts. Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is another powerful and effective approach for healing from all forms of trauma and other challenges that have been left unprocessed. I will work towards helping you make sense of your experiences and find a deep sense of clarity and freedom.

I’m originally from Upstate New York, and I have lived and worked with a variety of communities. I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Niger, West Africa 2008-2010 before beginning my Social Work Career upon reentry to the United States. I received my Mastered in Social Work form the University of Denver in 2015. I would feel deeply humbled and honored to be on this journey with you.
