I am a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has been working and providing care in inpatient and outpatient mental health settings for over 30 years. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from San Francisco State University, my Master of Science in Child and Family Psychiatric Nursing and my Child and Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of California, San Francisco, and my Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
Life can be complex and during difficult circumstances, situations, or transitions, we may find ourselves feeling stuck with uncomfortable emotions, anxiety or depression which can feel overwhelming and affect our functioning and well being. My role is to partner with you on your goals and promote improved mental and physical health and overall wellness, which will strengthen your hope and outlook on life. I utilize a compassionate and caring approach which will help you focus on ways to manage stress, work through grief or difficult life transitions, and achieve improved mental health. We may also use psychiatric medication as a part of the plan of care when appropriate to help in your recovery and to improve symptoms.
