Cori Overs is a Licensed Professional Clinicial Counselor (LPCC) through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board and a Provisional Registered Art Therapist (ATR-P) through the Art Therapy Credentials Board. She received her Bachelor of Arts from The Ohio State University in Psychology and went on to receive her Master of Arts in Counseling: Art Therapy from Adler University in Chicago Illinois. Cori has experience working with diverse populations in a variety of settings including community-based mental health and inpatient hospitalization. Through these experiences, She has been able to expand her clinical knowledge and explore the many ways that art can be of therapeutic benefit. These experiences have also given Cori an appreciation of the uniqueness of every individual seeking counseling. She works with adults, couples, and children and works hard to create a safe and therapeutic environment for clients to explore their needs and develop goals. She views the therapeutic relationship as collaborative and strives to find a process that will work for the individual. Cori enjoys working from a theoretical basis of evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Solution Focused Therapy with an emphasis on trauma-informed treatment. Cori also provides ADHD assessment and treatment.
