I commend the strength it takes to ask for help. I understand seeking help can be a daunting and uncomfortable process for some. Knowing this, I make it a priority to provide a non-judgmental therapeutic environment to ensure clients feel safe and understood. I believe therapy is a collaborative process so we can work together to achieve the goals set forth by the client. My hopes are to aid clients in developing healthy coping skills, recognizing unhelpful patterns, learning their own boundaries, and having kindness for themselves through the process. I strive for clients to feel supported and empowered while learning skills to navigate life’s ups and downs.

My therapy approach utilizes evidence-based practices such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. Therapy can be a rewarding process and I am honored when clients choose me to be part of their journey to wellness.

I earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Illinois State University in Bloomington, and my master’s in Counseling: Specialization in Forensic Psychology at Adler University in Chicago. I have had the pleasure of working in a partial hospitalization program with children, adolescents and adults, an outpatient setting with substance use disorders, a nonprofit mental health agency serving those with intellectual disabilities and severe mental illness and providing outpatient individual therapy to those with various mental health concerns.

When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time outside in nature, traveling, yoga and checking out new areas to explore. While spending summer anywhere on the water is one of my favorite places to be, I really enjoy fall activities and being outside in the fresh air with the changing leaves. Anything outdoors, I am all for!
