Hi, I’m Dan Gaytan. I’m a down to earth person, who is good natured, empathetic, compassionate, mindful, lighthearted and fun. I have a deep connection with the arts, spirituality, healing arts, mindfulness and meditation. I’m a Mexican American that grew up just outside the city of Chicago with strong family roots. I’m an actor, comedian, musician, writer and artist. I went to Naropa University for Indigenous Peoples Studies and the Environment which focused on social justice, spirituality, shamanism and reconnecting with the self, others and nature. I have 10 years counseling experience in various roles counseling people with depression and anxiety as well as trauma. My main focus is to care and give unconditional support in therapy sessions through talk therapy, processing thoughts, feelings, experiences and challenges etc. I use person centered Rogerian therapy, systems theory, strength based, solutions focused, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and transpersonal psychology. I am here to hold a safe, comfortable and supportive space to help you explore yourself, become more aware and embrace who you are presently and where you want to go in life.
