Dr. Kamen is a clinical psychologist licensed in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Brandeis University, with his Master’s of Science and Ph.D. from the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology at Auburn University, where he completed his studies in 2001.

Dr. Kamen provides services to children, adolescents, and adults, with specialty interests in self-injurious behavior, Asperger’s Disorder, and with adult trauma survivors. Dr. Kamen’s provides individual, family, and group therapy and has worked extensively with couples seeking international adoptions, and with families contending with parent-child attachment issues. He has also consulted regularly with obesity treatment centers for patients seeking bariatric surgical procedures, and with adults seeking employee assistance consultation.

Dr. Kamen also takes special interest in forensic psychology research and practice. As a certified guardian ad litem, Dr. Kamen has served the New Hampshire family court system since 2005. He has been a consultant to family law attorneys and parenting coordinators to help parents amicably resolve their post divorce conflicts and support their focus on the best interests of their children. He has published methods and approaches for improving the procedures for child custody evaluations for families involved in custodial disputes in New Hampshire. Dr. Kamen’s work has been published in the New Hampshire Trial Bar News, and the quarterly journal of the New Hampshire Association of Justice. Dr. Kamen’s forensic work has also been presented at the American Psychological Association, The National Business Institute, The New England Psychological Association, and New Hampshire Hospital.
