Dee Downs is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and has been practicing since 2016. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College. Dee recognizes the courage and vulnerability it takes to seek out mental health treatment and is passionate about providing an empathetic, safe, and supportive environment for her clients. She utilizes evidenced-based treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness, tailoring her approach in session to meet each client’s individual needs. Dee enjoys working with adolescents and adults and has experience counseling individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, mood disorders, grief and loss, work related stress, family conflict, and emotional regulation. In her spare time, Dee enjoys working out, taking dance classes, reading, and exploring the many biking trails central Florida has to offer.
