Debra E. Davis-Johnson, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist, hospital psychologist, certified Life Coach, and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist specializing in counseling/therapy, educational, and forensic psychology services. She obtained her doctoral degree in Educational Psychology, with an emphasis in School Psychology, from Northern Arizona University. Dr. Davis-Johnson provides counseling/therapy services using an eclectic approach, based in positive psychology and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Dr. Davis-Johnson has been providing assessment and therapy services to children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics for over 18 years. She specializes in assessing and providing therapeutic services for, cognitive, academic, social/emotional/behavioral functioning, along with providing psycho-educational, forensic and competency evaluations.
Dr. Davis-Johnson believes in the value of providing a safe, open, and non-judgmental atmosphere where clients can be at ease. She believes that trust, respect, and congruence are major components of a good therapeutic relationship, and that the therapeutic relationship is critical to assist the individual in therapy in order to change his or her life for the better.
Debra Davis-Johnson is married, has a grown daughter, and two dogs. Dr. Davis-Johnson also enjoys caring for her plants, and many recreational activities including cross country skiing, tennis, pickle ball, running and swimming.
