I am a first generation American born to Panamanian parents in NY, NY. I grew up in new york attending Binghamton University in New York prior to attending Michigan states college of human medicine. i was very interested in their biopsychosocial training model. After I completed medical school, I trained initially in general pediatrics at children’s hospital of Michigan where i completed my general pediatrics training. After completion I decided to pursue additional training in Adult and child psychiatry as there were no behavioral pediatrics fellowships at that time. I completed my psychiatry and child psychiatry training at the combined University of Maryland /Sheppard Pratt program in Maryland. I enjoy working with and helping all people, including children and young adults. I am a huge sports fan as a former athlete, and very interested in the power of the mind and how it can manifest and enhance performance on the playing field. I am a fan of the arts particularly theater musicals in addition to wildlife and the preservation of natural habitats. for a more detailed education and work history please see cv.
