What is your definition of health and happiness?

This is one of the first questions that I ask a patient. The answer may not be known but we can figure it out.

Our mental health is based on what is going on in our bodies, in our brains, and our day-to-day life. It is influenced by those we have met along the way. It is challenged by day-to-day life, stress, happiness, sadness, pandemics, aging, and more. My focus is on figuring out how this all fits together and together finding a plan to get you to where you want to be.

I have 11 years of experience as psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner. I had a long career in high tech before going back to school at age 44. I have experienced much of what my patients have. I may not understand; I can appreciate and use my training at The University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing (the #1 nursing school in the world!) as the base for treatment. I can use my experience in providing services in major medical centers for patients with medical illnesses, outpatient care, long-term care and assisted living, inpatient psychiatry and more to help define and develop the best treatment plan with you.
