Throughout his professional life, he has also worked with adults receiving clinical services in both residential treatment settings as well as in outpatient treatment settings where the centrality of the treatment approaches were focused patient’s safety as well as in addressing the whole patient’s needs by comprehensively addressing their physical, emotional, and mental health needs for optimal outcomes. Dr. Ukaoma has extensive clinical experience working with adolescents, adults and families from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds who are facing behavioral challenges often made worse by mental health and substance use issues. People with mental health issues often turn to drug use to ameliorate their symptoms. These seemingly desperate steps would often lead to downward spiral without effective treatment.

During each clinical encounter, Dr. Ukaoma works diligently to provide a nurturing and safe space where each client struggling with addiction, mental health or Co-Occurring Use Disorders can focus on healing by collaborating with the clinician relative to ongoing clinical assessment and treatment with compassion and care.
