Dr. Albrinck believes strongly in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and therefore utilizes a client-centered, collaborative approach to treatment. She provides evidence-based psychological treatment for adolescents and adults through individual, couples, and family therapy. Dr. Albrinck has experience treating a wide range of mental and behavioral health issues with a special interest in mood disorders, stress-related disorders (e.g., adjustment and trauma-related disorders), interpersonal relationship issues, and forensic issues. She utilizes a strength-based approach to psychotherapy that incorporates several treatment modalities depending on clients’ needs, including a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, and relational approaches.

Dr. Albrinck also provides psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. She specializes in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for individuals with developmental disorders (e.g., ADHD, autism spectrum, intellectual and learning disorders), neurological disorders such as fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD), and emotional problems that can affect personal relationships, academic/occupational performance, and/or social functioning (e.g., mood disorders, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders including prodromal psychosis).
