Elizabeth Brenden, LICSW

Elizabeth (she/her) is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with 20 years experience working in the field of mental health in a wide variety of clinical settings.

Before starting at LifeStance Health Elizabeth graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Art History. She then obtained a Master’s in Education from the University of Maryland, College Park, and worked teaching English to Speakers of Foreign Languages for several years before discovering her passion for mental health treatment. Elizabeth earned her Master’s in Social Work from Simmons College School of Social Work.

Her experience includes having worked in a variety of community based, educational, mental health and substance abuse treatment settings. This experience included working in both clinic-based and home-based settings. Elizabeth utilizes treatment modalities that suit the preferences and needs of her clients including CBT, DBT, and trauma informed work, including complex trauma. She is familiar with crisis intervention strategies. Elizabeth has also completed EMDR Level 1 training.

Elizabeth works with clients 18 and older struggling with depression, anxiety and coping with the aftermath of trauma.

In her free time Elizabeth enjoys reading, yoga, being outdoors walking her dog, and spending time with her family.
