About Elizabeth Edington, LISW

Elizabeth Edington is a child and family therapist, working with children as young as three years old through 12 years old and their families. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in social work from the University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work. She has worked in both hospital and community mental health outpatient settings, assessing and treating children and their families. She is also a Certified Tier II Adoption Assessor in the state of Ohio. She uses an eclectic therapy approach when working with clients, using a blend of client-focused modalities with a trauma-focused lens. Elizabeth believes in empowering her clients and their families in order to help them achieve lasting change. Elizabeth has experience treating children in areas such as ADHD, autism, executive functioning, grief, divorce, social skills, and trauma. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, Ohio Adoption Planning Group and the Ohio Kinship Adoption Navigator (OhioKAN) Development Stakeholder Committee. She is an executive board member of the Junior League of Dayton. Elizabeth Edington treats patients up to 12 years old.
