Ellen Pietz, LISW

Ellen earned her Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Social Work from Case Western Reserve University, her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Hope College, and her R.N. from Beth Israel Hospital School of Nursing. In addition, she has completed post graduate education at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, and continuing education in a wide variety of areas including anxiety management, disorders of mood, aging, coping with grief and loss, and healing from trauma.

With a background in mental health counseling, nursing, as well as training in spiritual direction, Ellen brings a whole person approach to the therapy relationship. Ellen has served as a consultant to area Clergy, Physicians, and Educators. She provides service using a Telehealth format, or in person in a warm, welcoming office setting.

Ellen possesses skill in working with adults at every stage of the life span. Her primary practice focus includes assisting persons who have concerns related to successful emancipation, job related stress, depression, relationship related stress, aging, grief and loss, and management of symptoms related to anxiety. Ellen is experienced in working with, and advocating for, members of the LGBTQ community.
