In caring for her patients, Dr. Rymarczyk takes a holistic view, integrating principles of psychotherapy with medication management. She views each patient as a complex individual with a unique history, values and goals, and she strives to collaborate with her patients on treatment approaches that best help them live richer, more fulfilling lives. Dr. Rymarczyk attended medical school at Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Medical Honor Societies for academic excellence and compassionate patient care and was awarded the Ernst & Gertrude Ticho Prize for outstanding performance in psychiatry. Dr. Rymarczyk then attended residency at Emory University, where she was a Chief Resident in the outpatient psychiatry clinic and took a special interest in psychotherapy training. During her residency, she helped to launch a quality improvement initiative to improve patient access to psychotherapy in a community mental health clinic. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association. Her special interests include: mood disorders, anxiety disorders, women’s mental health. Dr. Rymarczyk’s ‘Life Stance’ is that great purpose and meaning can be found in small acts of connecting with and caring for others.
