F. Cal Robinson, Psy.D., MSCP, ABMP is a seasoned clinical and medical psychologist who has worked extensively with individuals with chronic medical conditions such as chronic pain, neurological disorders and traumatic conditions. Dr. Robinson is an Empowered Relief Instructor. He had a private practice for twenty years and has worked with several medical organizations, pain management practices and national health organizations.

Dr. Robinson works to assist others having to adjust to the complexities of medical conditions that are influenced by one’s thoughts, feelings, emotions, and reactions. When appropriate and necessary, he works closely with medical providers so that outcomes are favorable and support improved functioning.

He has had leadership roles in national pain organizations and for twenty-five years has been active as a medical psychologist pursuing prescriptive authority for appropriately trained psychologists. He sits on the Board of the American Board of Medical Psychology which oversees the training, guidance and interests of clinical psychologists interested in psychopharmacology. He appreciates the benefit of medication but also values the effects and practice of cognitive behavioral therapy; helping individuals learn to change thoughts that are not helpful to their health and self-maintenance.
