Jacob (Jake) Dodson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences with a minor in Psychology from the Ohio State University and earned his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Dayton. His clinical experience and interests include providing services to adults and members of the LGBTQ+ community experiencing difficulties with depression, anxiety, stress, and grief/loss issues. Jake utilizes a person-centered approach and draws on several treatment modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic/body-based interventions, and Behavioral Therapy techniques. Jake’s calm demeanor provides a space for individuals to sit with and process difficult experiences to help achieve their wellness goals.
