About James Jobe, PhD

Are you feeling down, unmotivated, or needing some extra support? Maybe you’re tossing and turning at night and not sure why. Maybe you notice having difficulty with focusing on goals or activities that bring you joy or fulfillment or find you are struggling with problems in your relationships, performance, or your sense of who you are and where you belong. These days people talk often about the importance of mental health, but that doesn’t make it easy to ask for help. I would like to help by walking with you on your journey to help you attain your goals using proven strategies to turn the tide.

My approach as an empathic psychologist is collaborative, supportive, and justice oriented. More specifically, my job is to strive each and every session to hear you and to acknowledge your unique experience. The importance and value of this, the therapeutic relationship, is critical toward enacting meaningful and sustainable change.
Change doesn’t always come easy. After you take that courageous first step, you’re on your way to better and brighter days. Regardless of what you are going through, psychotherapy can help you increase self-awareness to better understand how the psychological and emotional conflicts keep you stuck in unwanted patterns.
