Jessica Tarwater is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in working with adolescents and adults. As a therapist, Jessica believes in treating each individual with compassion and empathy to ensure a safe and welcoming environment that promotes personal growth. She utilizes a collaborative and supportive approach with clients to help them gain a greater understanding of themselves and to help them with making the necessary changes to enhance their quality of life.

Jessica received an undergraduate degree from Lewis University with a major in Psychology and a graduate degree in Counseling: Specialization in Forensic Psychology from Adler University. Jessica has experience providing treatment to youth at a detention/probation center and to adults with chronic and severe mental illness at an intensive outpatient program.

Through a combination of psychoeducation, prevention, and intervention, Jessica assists clients with developing the skills to improve and manage their mental health and attain personal goals. When it comes to her theoretical orientation, Jessica uses an integrative approach that tailors therapeutic techniques and theories to fit the individual needs of the client. Jessica has experience utilizing a variety of approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered and Solution-Focused. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys crafting, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones.
