John Cayer is a licensed professional counselor who has been practicing since 2013 and working in the field since 2009. He graduated from Illinois State University in Normal, IL with a master’s degree in clinical-counseling psychology.
John believes in tailoring treatment to help clients meet their individual goals and creating a safe, nonjudgmental space that helps people grow. While therapy can feel challenging, John’s goal is to help you build comfort in overcoming obstacles in your life. His main areas of focus include anxiety, depression, and helping people adapt to new and difficult life changes.
In his spare time, John can be found hiking, working outdoors, attending concerts, spending time with his dachshunds, and playing video games. John also believes in the power of communing with nature and others in building presence and valuable experiences in our lives.
