Kai Allen is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Virginia who has been practicing since 2015. Kai has experience in clinical, in-home, and outpatient settings, helping others using methods such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Functional Family Therapy (FFT), mindfulness and grounding exercises, anger management skills, stress relief/coping techniques, play therapy, role play, communication skills, parenting skills, as well as other methods. Kai has a very relational, strengths-based, solution focused, and positive approach to therapy. She believes that respect and “meeting a person where they are” are the best ways to help someone, she also believes in being creative in her treatment methods as well as working interactively as a team with her client. In her free time, Kai enjoys spending time with her family and friends, singing at Karaoke, travelling, playing cards and games, going to museums, reading, watching movies and TV, and anything that has to do with really good food.
