Dr. Byerly-Lamm received her master’s and doctoral degrees in psychology from Union Institute & University. She also holds a master’s degree in community counseling and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Xavier University. She also is a licensed professional clinical counselor with supervision designation. Dr. Byerly-Lamm is an adjunct professor at Xavier University in the Department of Psychology and a member of the Ohio Psychological Association. Her experience includes working with children, adolescents and adults in outpatient, inpatient, school-based, home-based, college student health and medical settings. She provides individual and family therapy for adults aged 18-65+, specializing in anxiety, depression, stress related issues, mental health concerns facing those in college and other transitional life phases, grief, trauma and mental health related to chronic medical illness. She utilizes humanistic approaches, mindfulness, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Dr. Karen Byerly-Lamm treats patients starting at 18 years old.
