My name is Karina and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am passionate about assisting individuals begin their mental health journey. Whether someone is struggling with depression, anxiety, life changes, stress, or other challenges, together we can work on improving your thought process and mood, along with learning positive coping skills and behaviors. I can work with you to enhance communication, resilience, and to identify your strengths. I am passionate in assisting you understand and process your life experiences, while learning to cope with them in a healthier manner. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to assist individuals identify and better understand how to change negative thought patterns that influence their behavior and emotions. I also utilize a Person-Centered approach, Mindfulness, and Solution-Based therapy techniques. I have experience in play and art therapy techniques with children. My practice has been working with children, adolescents, and adults from a variety of cultural backgrounds. I am bilingual and provide services in English and Spanish.
