Katey Wichland, PsyD

Katey Wichland is a Licensed Psychologist who has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, specializing in autism spectrum disorder, trauma, depression, and anxiety. She believes in the combination of traditional and creative counseling approaches, which includes the use of play therapy, mindful-meditation integrated with guided imagery, internal-family systems, and exposure therapy. She is also obtaining specialized training in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to better serve those with trauma-related disorders, and is working toward becoming an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist. Dr. Wichland enjoys working within a comprehensive care team in order to best serve her patients.

Clinically, she takes a person-centered approach when treating patients, fostering healing relationships that encourage the development of resiliency, autonomy, and skill-building. She also loves to use humor in her sessions and is keen on reframing difficult experiences so that her patients can find meaning in their struggles. In her free time, Dr. Wichland enjoys being with her family and friends. She loves the outdoors, walking her dog, hiking, cooking, and practicing yoga. Dr. Wichland has a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Rivier University. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Political Science from Keene State College.
