Kate Humphrey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida who has been practicing since 2018. She has a Bachelor’s of Social Work from FGCU and a Master’s of Social Work from FSU. Kate provides a strengths-based approach with her clients to best meet each of their unique goals. It is important to meet each client where they are at, using their individual experiences and perspectives to propel them forward. Kate’s goal is to help her clients see their fullest potential through an insight-oriented and humanistic approach, as they are the experts of their own lives. She is passionate about helping individuals work through ineffective behavioral and cognitive patterns to achieve their goals and self-actualization. While being a social worker and therapist is where she derives meaning from her life, Kate has many other interests, too. She loves spending time with her two cats, Binx and Brindley, as they always keep her on her toes. She enjoys spending time outdoors, so she is at her happiest when she is at the beach, canoeing in local rivers, and when she is near any natural body of water. There is something so refreshing about being able to spend time in the solitude and purity of nature; being outdoors allows her to disconnect from daily stressors to focus on the beautiful and simple things in life. She is also passionate about baking in her spare time. She often tries out new recipes on the weekends, and often shares the baked goods with her local family members. Some of her favorite treats to share are her Texas Sheet Cake, Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Tres Leches Cake.
