Laura Whitman

Laura Whitman is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Certified School Counselor. Upon completing her graduate work at West Chester University, she spent time working as a Drug and Alcohol counselor with middle and high school students. Over the past thirteen years, Laura has specialized in treating clients recovering from eating disorders, having worked with that population and their specific needs both in inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition to her clinical work, Laura served as one of the Clinical Directors for HPA, prior to the transition to LifeStance, where she provided supervision to other clinicians and helped with program development. Clinically, Laura continues to be dedicated to working with the LGBTQ + community as a whole. Around this work, Laura has also presented at a number of conferences, and works to train fellow professionals on the intersectionality of eating disorder and the LGBTQ+ community. As a result of her years of experiences, Laura has also gained expertise in working with a range of issues in general practice including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse and personality disorders.
