Leah Franczoz is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She received her Bachelors’ in Psychology at Brooklyn College and a Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College.
She’s trained in Motivational Interviewing, LGBT+ Affirmative Therapy, Harm Reduction, REBT, Gender Exploratory Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. . She identifies as an LGBT+ ally with pride and is supportive of all sexual and gender minorities. Leah specializes in substance use / abuse, sexuality and gender issues , and past trauma issues. She can also help you if you are experiencing anxiety, depression, or just dealing with life changes. She does not give advice. Instead, Leah meets her clients where they currently are and will never push a client to discuss any issue. Her job is to help you be the best you. Leah tries to create a safe environment for you to express yourself and help you explore your feelings and emotions. She believes that being a counselor is a privilege and a calling. Leah promises a non judgmental and fully accepting environment for you to become your authentic self. She has experience in recovery work, but does not believe that a fully abstinent life is appropriate for everyone. She looks forward to meeting you and helping you on your life path.
