The initial focus of sessions is developing a therapeutic rapport to enable you to feel safe as you explore experiences that have led you to seeking treatment. Letitia offers a brave, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space to all clients. She’ll help you learn tools such as self-care, coping skills, healthy boundaries to use while unlearning maladaptive coping skills.

Letitia takes a client-centered approach to therapy, and integrates CBT, Mindfulness/MBSR, and DBT interventions. Together you will work collaboratively toward your treatment goals, infusing genuine empathy, humor, and active listening throughout the process. Most recently she has begun using EMDR and can do assessments for clients who may be an appropriate fit or provide referrals.

Letitia has a Bachelor’s degree of in Psychology with a focus in Pre-clinical Psychology, from Governor State University, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus in Multicultural Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from the University of Colorado Denver. She has completed additional training through PESI to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional level II, and is a National Certified Counselor through the National Broad of Counselors. She has experience working in community mental health, crisis hotlines, and group practices with diverse populations, including the LGBTQ+, veteran population, students, and the global majority.
