Do you ever feel stuck? Unhappy? Unmotivated and hopeless? Most of us have reached that place at one point or even multiple points in our lives. It can feel overwhelming to try and move forward from that tough place. I’ve worked with thousands of people who have been in that same spot. I have been in that same spot. You aren’t alone. With the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we can work on figuring out the core reasons behind whatever is contributing to your unhappiness or struggle. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a practice of linking your thoughts and feeling to deeply held core beliefs about yourself (often formed in early childhood). Once you understand how you truly see yourself, it becomes easier to overcome negative and unhealthy thoughts, feelings, and behavior. I promise, if you are willing to give it a try, you will see progress from our very first session.

I completed my Bachelors Degree at Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho in 2005 with a major in Sociology and a minor in Spanish. I went on to complete my Masters Degree in Social Work at Temple University in Philadelphia in 2007. I have been practicing as an LCSW for 12 years and am available to work with all populations, including Spanish speakers as I am bilingual. I do specialize in working with couples, the elderly, people on the autism spectrum, and Christian counseling as requested. While CBT is my primary therapy modality, I am familiar and able to work to a lesser degree with clients seeking DBT, mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing techniques.
