About Manjinder Brar, MD

Manjinder Brar treats patients starting from 25 years old. Dr. Manjinder (Ruby) Brar, Board-Certified Psychiatrist, considers a patient’s environment, life experiences, physical and psychological factors when diagnosing and treating emotional issues. Her comprehensive yet balanced approach puts adults struggling with depression, bipolar conditions, addictions, ADHD, schizophrenia, PTSD, and more on the path to a more fulfilling life.

Dr. Brar earned an MD from Saba University School of Medicine and completed her residency in psychiatry at SUNY Upstate Medical University. After a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, Dr. Brar primarily worked with adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Prior to joining Edgewood, Dr. Brar held positions of attending psychiatrist in Seattle at Fairfax Hospital and Pacific Medical Center, and as an outpatient psychiatrist at Dekalb Health, the Institute of Personal Development, as well as telemedicine for St. Mary’s Hospital. Through those roles, she gained expertise in assessments, creating custom care plans, implementing psychiatric treatment, and medication management.

Dr. Brar’s goal is to help patients gain insight, explore treatment options, and begin the healing process. She believes in collaboration when helping overcome issues, and extensively studies each patient’s medical and psychological background before recommending conventional and complementary therapies. Dr. Brar is passionate about her holistic approach to treating mental health, and her dedication shows in ongoing treatment results.
