Marina Kuran, LMHC

Marina Kuran is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and former Chemical Dependency Counselor and Life Coach. Her approach to therapy is holistic with an emphasis on creating balance and harmony so that clients can best flex with life’s changes and demands. She believes the answers we seek as well as the ability to heal them are within each of us. She views her role as creating a safe and nurturing space that will allow clients to gain awareness, express their feelings, set specific, achievable goals, and take the steps necessary for reaching those goals. Marina has a Master of Arts degree in Applied Behavior Science, Counseling from City University of Seattle. She also completed a year of doctoral studies in Applied Ecopsychology, ProjectNatureConnect, Friday Harbor, WA. Her training includes a variety of cognitive and behavioral therapies, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), humanistic and transpersonal psychology, regression and hypnotherapy, Motivational Interviewing and a variety of stress reduction techniques including meditation, breath work and exercise. She has designed and taught a variety of wellness workshops, trainings and seminars and has been a yoga and meditation practitioner for over 40 years. Marina enjoys working with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, addictions (and addiction-related) and trauma. She is especially interested in working with women navigating change of life issues and with the spouses or partners who are impacted by ADHD.
