Psychologist and Therapist in Chandler, Arizona, Micah Mammen, PhD

Micah Mammen, PhD

Dr. Micah Mammen is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in early childhood mental health and development. Micah completed her doctoral training in Child Clinical Psychology at The Pennsylvania State University in 2018. Throughout her training, Micah gained extensive experience assessing and treating young children and attained Infant Mental Health Specialist and Child-Parent Psychotherapy certifications.
Early childhood can be a joyful, but frequently challenging time, and seeking support early on can make a big difference for children and their families. Micah works with children (birth to 17 years of age) and their families to address a variety of concerns, including fear/anxiety, sadness/withdrawal, social/relationship difficulties, sleep disturbances, noncompliance, aggression, tantrums, adapting to changes, and difficulties resulting from traumatic experiences. Micah views therapy as an opportunity to support caregivers and help children learn important lifelong skills, such as recovering from disappointments, communicating their feelings appropriately, and navigating peer conflicts. Using her training in a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques (e.g., attachment-based, cognitive-behavioral, trauma-focused, mindfulness), Micah takes a flexible and collaborative approach to therapy. Micah values the uniqueness of each child and family, and she enjoys helping families develop their own strategies for making family time more peaceful, fulfilling, and fun.
