About Michele Bates, LPC

When you meet with Michele, you'll meet with an empathetic, strength-oriented counselor dedicated to providing exceptional care. She's humorous, accepting and devoted to finding the best way to support your emotional healing. Michele will help you overcome issues related to self-esteem, trauma, anger, anxiety, depression, co-dependency, life adjustments, parenting, and alcohol and drug additions. She'll help you and your partner or former partner if you're struggling with communication, divorce, custody transitions, conflict resolution, parenting and affair recovery. Children age 8 through the teenage years will get help from Michele with anger, defiance and blended family issues. She creatively tailors her approach to therapy to fit each client's needs, relying on evidence-based interventions that draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, narrative and mindfulness-based therapies. With a Master's of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Michele has worked for six years in community health and court-based agencies, and six years in private practice.
