About Neil Devins, PH.D

Dr. Devins joined Psychological Care Associates in 1997. He provides evaluations and ongoing short term and long term psychotherapy with individual adults and couples. He has been trained in a Couples Developmental style, with an emphasis on teaching communication skills. He has also for many years taught and worked with individuals with anger management issues. He was originally trained in a psychoanalytic/psychodynamic theoretical model, which he now uses to help understand the individual personality and relationship with the therapist. However, his initial goals involve helping alleviate detrimental symptoms using a variety of cognitive behavioral methods prior to engaging in a self exploratory psychotherapy.
